About - The Denver Outlaws

The Denver Outlaws kicked off their inaugural season on May 20, 2006 by setting the Major League Lacrosse (MLL) attendance record, driving 13,167 lacrosse fans into INVESCO Field at Mile High - and that was just the beginning! As a first year expansion team, the Outlaws captured the Western Conference Championship with an overall record of 11-2, sent five players to the MLL All-Star game and delivered hard-hitting action to nearly 70,000 Outlaws fans over the course of the home season.

The Denver Outlaws posted winning records and reached the Major League Lacrosse playoffs in each of the first nine seasons that the team has been in existence. It is the only team to accomplish such a feat, as the team’s 81-31 overall regular season record is best in the league during that span.

In 2013, the Outlaws had the greatest season in the history of Major League Lacrosse winning all 14 of their regular season games to become the first undefeated team in MLL history.

In 2014, the Denver Outlaws followed up their historic 2013 campaign by capturing the franchise’s first MLL Championship. The Outlaws outscored the Rochester Rattlers 6-1 in the fourth quarter, as Drew Snider scored the game-winning goal with 56 seconds left in the game, to seal the 12-11 victory for the team, earning them their first Steinfeld Trophy.

The Outlaws captured their second Steinfeld Trophy with a come-from-behind 19-18 victory over the Ohio Machine in the 2016 MLL Championship game. The Outlaws down seven at halftime rallied with an 11-1 run over the first 18 minutes of the second half to take its first lead of the game. Ohio battled back with three consecutive goals to tie the game with just over six minutes remaining before Law’s game winner with 13 second left on the clock giving the Outlaws its second Major League Lacrosse championship in three years.
